Meet Our Team

Lee is a husband to Susanne and dad to Charlotte (11) and Noah (7). Lee and Susanne celebrated 14 years of marriage this year. Lee and his family love to travel, share meals together, watch movies and snuggle on the couch, and do all the sports! 

Lee tries to spend a lot of his time giving back to the community. He and his family attend and serve at Woodstock City Church. Lee is in his 7th year serving in the elementary age children’s ministry (UpStreet).

Lee also coaches both of his kid’s teams. He coaches his daughters travel and middle school team and he coaches his son’s baseball and basketball teams. He loves the opportunity to spend more time with his kids as well as teach other kids the fundamentals and love of the game. 

Lee is also proud to help start and run a free baseball and softball camp for foster and adopted kids in Cherokee and the surrounding counties. 

Lee has been in the financial planning industry for 9 years and running Shepherd Financial for 4 years. He loves helping people think about money differently than the world would have them think about it. He earned his CFP® designation in 2019.

Prior to joining the financial services industry, Lee spent 8 years playing baseball professionally. He was blessed with the opportunity to be drafted by his hometown team, the Atlanta Braves in 2006. He also played with 3 other organizations; the Nationals, Yankees, and Reds. It was during this time that Lee began his interest in financial planning.

Lee has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Georgia Tech. While at Georgia Tech, Lee played for the baseball team for 3 years and had the opportunity to pitch in the College World Series. More importantly, this is where he met his beautiful wife, Susanne.
